Hello Watch Exchange! Here it is, the OG Ocean Rover in all its glory. Whether its being loved or hated (I fall into the former category and still have an OR2 as well) it is always appreciated for the fine quality that it brings to the table. Of all of the homages to the 5- digit Rolex Submariner this is the one that leaves all of the others in the dust as far as fit and finish are concerned. The watch has the Caliber 7275 which is an ETA 2824 clone running strong at a consistent +3 seconds per day with strong amplitude and minimal beat error. One of the things that always set Ginault apart from other manufacturers is the in house regulation of their movements and the results being included with the watch kit. The ETA 2824 base means that just about any watchmaker on the planet can service this watch if needed. With a size of 40mm wide, 13.5mm tall with the domed sapphire crystal and a height of 47mm the watch is ideal size for just about any wrist and any occasion. The dial is a beautiful enamel black with crisp lettering that appears flawless in all lights. The Sword hour and minute hands and bright red second hand give the watch just enough character to give it its own identity. The bezel is aluminum with a very crisp 120 click action and no back play. The bracelet on this watch is just wonderful. Between the tight tolerances of the Oyster Style bracelet and the very well constructed glide-lock like clasp it's no wonder that the bracelets just on their own find their way into the secondary market. The Gold Sand Lume that Ginault puts on their watches really is eye catching. It has the color tone of softly aged Tritium, with a surprising amount of texture, and the brightness that we have all come to expect from C3. The watch is in fantastic condition, with no marking or scratches to speak of on the case and only very light desk diving marks on the clasp. It is apparent that this watch was well cared for and worn lightly. I am the second owner, having purchased it from the original owner. The watch comes as a near full kit with all the links present and only the screwdriver that came with the watch missing.
