# SBGF001 Video: [https://imgur.com/a/WKzDLxj](https://imgur.com/a/WKzDLxj) For sale is this Grand Seiko SBGF001, driven by the 8J56 movement, which features a 5 year battery life (instead of the 3 year of the later 9F series) as well as an independently adjustable hour hand so that changing the time will not require re-syncing the watch (also something the 9F dropped). Additionally, the movement is still a high-accuracy quartz (HAQ) and still rated to the same +/- 10 seconds per year as the later generations. The size is a very well-proportioned 38mm in width, with 44mm lug-to-lug and only 9.5mm thickness. The lug width is 19mm. The screwdown crown gives this a water resistance of 200m / 20bar, again superior to that of its successor models (doubled). The case and dial finishing is incredible, as you'd expect of Grand Seiko. The texture on the dial that pops out in the sun along with the thick applied markers combine to make a stunning piece. This example is in excellent condition, and comes boxed with a 2021 service paper copy, and a bracelet measuring about 7.6" laid flat as shown.
