Sunday Funday to all!  Received breaking news recently that our little family is growing, so started thinking about the future a bit more. I’m typically quite responsible with spending, but I must admit I have a weakness for this particular hobby. After much thought, I’ve decided to let go of the least-worn watches in my collection. During the search, I couldn’t believe how many I literally bought and they just stayed in the box after trying it once or twice. I’ll take that as a very strong indication that the watches deserve someone who can spend more time with them- as I plan on spending more time with my future little one.  On to the piece! The Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro Mk2 is a well-regarded diver’s watch that was part of Christopher Ward’s popular C60 Trident collection. Here’s an overview of its key features: Design: - **Case Size:** Typically 38mm, 42mm, or 43mm in diameter, depending on the specific model. This is the perfectly sized 38mm version! - **Material:** Stainless steel case with a combination of brushed and polished finishes. - **Bezel:** Unidirectional ceramic bezel, usually in black, blue, or green, with a 60-minute scale. The black here is very stand out while delivering top quality finish. - **Dial:** The dial comes in various colors, including black, blue, and white, featuring a wave pattern reminiscent of the ocean. This white version is the most interesting and versatile IMO. The waves are nicely raised and sized. Some waves, including Omega Seamaster waves, can be too large or too flat. CW executed this well. The hour markers are applied and filled with Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in low light. I use my watches at night quite often and I always look for a good lume- even for my more dressy watches. This CW packs a huge punch! - **Crystal:** Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the front. - **Crown:** Screw-down crown at 3 o’clock with the Christopher Ward logo. Movement: - **Caliber:** The C60 Trident Pro Mk2 is powered by an automatic Swiss movement, typically the ETA 2824-2 or Sellita SW200-1, both known for reliability and accuracy. - **Power Reserve:** Approximately 38-40 hours. - **Water Resistance:** Rated at 600 meters (2000 feet), making it a highly capable dive watch. Most dive watches don’t go near this rating. I swam with this watch plenty and it’s still delivering! Strap/Bracelet: - **Options:** The watch is available with a stainless steel bracelet, rubber strap, or leather strap, all featuring a quick-release mechanism for easy changes. This SS bracelet has seen better days, but I’ve built a collection of straps for it that I typically pair with. It goes with anything tbh, including this stingray. Case Back: - **Design:** The case back usually features an engraved Trident motif, which is a signature of the Trident collection. The C60 Trident Pro Mk2 is a robust and versatile dive watch, combining classic design elements with modern features, making it a favorite among watch enthusiasts for both its aesthetics and functionality. This 38mm, with the best CW logo, trident hand, waves, depth rating, and colors all represent the best of what made CW stand out to me and what their foundations were. CW is doing quite nice of course these days, and perhaps not even a microbrand anymore, but this C60 brings me back to the essentials of who CW is/was at their core.
