SBDC051- Great seiko diver, got it in a trade, comes with box and papers (purchased in Japan). I’ve worn 3 times. No scratches that I can see and I want to keep it that way for someone who intends to use it. Comes with extra links. SBGX053- Grand Seiko Quartz, comes with box and hang tag, no papers. Purchased myself from an AD in Japan. HAQ is amazing, and the honeycomb dial I have been unable to find many for sale that are not in fair condition online. Asking 1100$ plus shipping. Watch has a few scratches on the bracelet from wear, and a few on the case but none on the glass. Watch has not been polished as well. Both watches will be properly cleaned again before shipped. WTT: I am looking for another grand seiko and I’m willing to do cash & these as a trade towards it, looking for an automatic SBGR/SBGA reference hopefully but hit me with any of your GS you have up for trade. Trade value of the watches will be lower than purchase price listed. Thanks for looking!

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
