Dating back to the early 1970s, this funky case design has been lovingly dubbed the “TV watch”, as the shape of the case somewhat resembles a 70s television. The stainless steel case measures 34 by 40mm, making it a fairly sizeable watch for its time. Behind the original plexiglass crystal, we find a green tone dial with subtle vertically brushed finish, contrasting nicely with the silver non-numeral indices and silver baton style hands. A calendar window can be found at the 3 O’Clock position. The watch is powered by a high quality Chronometer-grade automatic movement, the Omega Cal. 1011. The example sold here is in wonderful condition considering its age. The case shows minimal signs of wear, and still has the original finish. It was never polished, and therefore all lines and edges are still nice and sharp. The crystal also shows minimal wear marks, and is all original with Omega hallmark in the centre. The crown is original too and bears the Omega logo. The dial and hands have aged wonderfully, and are in as good a condition as a 1970s watch can be.
