Up for sale is a preowned **STRELA TR40CY TRIBUTE** to the Strela 3017. STRELA is a German microbrand revival of the original Soviet Strela brand, run by a man with historical ties to watchmaking in the Russian Federation. I am the original owner, having purchased the watch in June 2023. Of note, STRELA offers a 2-year warranty. The watch runs a SeaGull ST 1901, which is actually very similar to the Poljot 3017 movement than powered the original Strela 3017, with both movements sharing the same common ancestors (the Venus 150 and 175 calipers). Besides being a bit larger and using modern materials, this homage is very authentic to the original Strela 3017, with some clever additional nods to that vintage watch written in Cyrillic. The watch is in good aesthetic and functional condition. The only aesthetic thing to note is a small vertical hairline scratch at the bottom of the case side visible in some lighting (see picture depicting). Also, when I originally received the watch, the stop and reset chronograph functions weren't always working entirely correctly. So I sent it back to STRELA and they had the movement serviced, and all has since been well. The listing includes both the installed exhibition case back and a spare case back with a picture of the Poljot 3017 movement etched on it.
