Whether dressed up or some juxtaposition with jeans and a T-shirt there’s nothing like the feel of a gold watch. Case in point: this Audemars Piguet Ultra Slim with manual wound movement, sapphire crystal, and solid 3 piece 18k gold case, all for the cost of a stainless Datejust! DATE: app late 1980s DIAL: Gold colored dial - just clean and elegant, then you get up close and you see it has this subtle vertical pattern with a linen like texture, GORGEOUS! CRYSTAL: Being later in the run of these you get sapphire crystal! CASE: 31.5MM (these are often listed as 32MM but calipers put it slightly below) solid 18K gold! With these later run they went up to a substantial three piece case - this thing has some beautiful gold weight to it! With the slim case, the thin bezel and the large dial it wears bigger than its numbers (pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist) comparable if not slightly larger in feel to a classic 33MM Patek Calatrava. Super sharp condition, with only light wear - check out those lines and brushing! MOVEMENT: Hand wound Audemars Piguet caliber 2080 movement. Service history unknown but just regulated by my watchmaker, winding is buttery smooth, and timegrapher shows 16 seconds a day with a healthy amplitude of 285.
