I am looking to trade my Omega Memomatic Reference 166.072. 10kt gold plated. I am looking to trade because I just don't wear gold tone watches.
Serial #3332xxxx dates the watch to 1971. The watch is currently running. Time sets. Date quick set works. Alarm functions. However likely need a service as the service history is unknown.

Condition:

Case is clean. Sunburst brushed pattern present. Lines relatively crisp. has some scratches commensurate with its age.
Crystal is original with Omega logo at center. I polished it with Polywatch so it is clear, but retains some minor scratches.
Crown is signed
Bracelet/clasp is original. Clasp is marked 1/40 10kt gold overlay. Omega.
Bracelet fits my 7 3/4 inch wrist, but slightly tight.

Ideal Trade targets are as follows, but sorta open to ideas as well: Stainless Steel Only.

1969 through early 1970s Omega Chronographs or divers
Stainless Steel Memomatic. Either 166.071 or 166.072 case style
Omega Chronostop
Seamaster 125 or 200m or 300m
Open to ideas as well.

Trade value in the range of $3,000. There are several on Chrono24 ranging from $2,800 to $4,300.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
