The crash of 1929 greatly impacted Tissot—& Omega, to a degree—& led the two to partner in ‘30. This relationship explains why this Tissot chronograph uses the iconic caliber 321 chronograph movement, often seen in Omega chronographs, including Pre-Moon Speedmasters from the 1950s and 60s. The 321 was actually developed all the way back in the 1940s, which this Tissot dates to, as a product of the triumvirate of Tissot-Omega-Lemania (Lemania joined in 1932). Tissots from this period are exceedingly rare, & examples are quite sought after by collectors, not only for their relative rarity but even more so for their quality. The chronograph here is in very good condition and features the caliber 321 Lemania chronograph movement. It is running accurately & chronograph functions perfectly at time of this writing but of course cannot be guaranteed on this approximately 80 year old piece.
