The Rolex Milgauss was designed in 1956 to protect the automatic movement/caliber from magnetic fields for those who worked in power plants, medical facilities and research labs. In 2007 Rolex launched the 116400 with an antimagnetic hairspring protecting it from magnetic and electrostatic fields.
For sale is this lightly worn piece featuring the distinctive orange lighting bolt seconds hand and green sapphire crystal. Water resistant to 100 meters. Case and bracelet are in Very Good condition with minimal signs of wear. Offer includes outer box, box and card dated 8/6/2011. Asking $8900.
