I am reluctantly putting up for sale the first of two Stowa’s today. I have a “what I spend on new watches has to be recouped by outgoings” rule and like I'm sure many of us here are, I'm addicted to change and buying new watches and just got a new watch this unfortunately has to go. This is the classic Stowa Flieger. This is one of the older models so it has the (IMO) better old Stowa logo which really pops on this watch. This is the automatic, with date, 40mm version. The blued steel hands and counterbalance on the second hand are BEAUTIFUL. It’s hard to capture them in the light but they really pop when the light hits. I tried to get a few pics that show them. The highlight of the watch in my opinion. In my opinion the best flieger for the money out there. It is in very good condition being worn in a rotation of 15+ other watches (like I said, I have a problem). If you look closely, there are a few very minor marks or scratches on the case consistent with casual wear. But honestly it’s in excellent shape. The automatic movement is running great. I don’t have a timegrapher, but it has always run within spec on casual observation. It comes as watch only on a really nice DiModell pilot strap with rubber backing that I got from Holbens. I'm asking a fair and reasonable $649 plus a label. No trades. I only accept Zelle for payment, but will consider PayPal or Venmo at my discretion for users with strong feedback history. I have a large number of sales on here, hundreds of feedback on eBay, and my own vintage shop on Etsy! Feel free to ping me for any references needed.
