Hey watchex! Here, you have before you an all original British Air Ministry (RAF) issued Omega 6B/159 from the year 1956. The watch has a manual winding omega Cal. 30T2-SC ticking like a champ after complete service. The original crystal has all these scratches and some tiny cracks and can be easily swapped with a new OEM one but it's left alone to preserve the authenticity and the history associated with military issued and field used watches. The matt white military dial is very well preserved under that crystal, dial text, and indices unfazed by the harshness of passing time. Picture of the naked dial and movement can be made available on request as i forgot to take em while in service. The case measures 36mm across without the crown. Takes 18mm straps, nato type due to military fixed lug bars. For a watch with so much potential and history, i am asking close to nothing, nothing = $1900 USD. Price includes shipping and a separate Omega OEM replacement crystal. Feel free to send me a chat or message.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
