Credor is the sister company of Seiko, and much like the re-birth Grand Seiko has gone through in recent years, Credor has also transitioned well into the modern market, with releases like the Eichi II and GCLP989 turning heads. And just like the aforementioned Grand Seiko, Credor also has a strong sense of history and identity in its vintage releases. The 2F70-0300 is no exception, bearing all the hallmarks of a vintage Credor; a focus on precious metals and an angular design. ***- The Design***. The case has a traditional thin bezel with narrow lugs; everything you’d expect from a dress watch. Things get interesting when you notice the dial is a dual-layered dodecahedron, and not only that… but so is the sapphire crystal. I’d love to know how these crystals are put together. The inner dodecahedron part of the sapphire sits approximately 1mm higher at the peak of its dome, compared the outer dodecahedron. If this was an acrylic crystal I’d be less intrigued; inject the acrylic into a shaped mould. Easy. Maybe this is a bit like a giant unmagnified sapphire cyclops? Glued onto the dial with a transparent UV glue? Please send me a message if you know the answer. The champagne dial also has a sunburst effect! ***- Ultra-thin***. At 4.2mm with a quartz movement, it’s incredibly lightweight and comfy on the wrist. It feels like you’re wearing [nothing at all](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlREUROGwpI). ***- Precious Materials***. 18k gold indices and hands, a sapphire crystal, and an onyx crown. If the overall look and feel wasn’t dressy enough, it’s only 4.2mm thick! Both watches come on the original Credor leather straps. ***- His & Hers.*** Because they come with the original boxes and papers, I’m offering them as a pair, with no option of buying them separately. They’ve been together for 33 years and are too cute to split up. **Condition**: Unworn, like new in box. You’d never know these watches were bought in Yokohama in 1992! Everything, including the original box and papers, has been looked after very well.
