Hello everyone,
Quick catch and release on this guy. I love the look of the watch, but I think it's just a little too dressy for me and it's battling for wrist time with my other watches. This watch has a unique layout with the date at the 9 o'clock subdial and the moonphase indicator at the 3 o'clock position. The date subdial has concentric circles which add a nice texture and keeps the dial from being too plain. There is also the same finish on the bottom of the moonphase indicator. The moonphase disc also shines a brilliant blue in the right light. The rest of the dial is very clean with applied indices at every 5 minute indicator and printed markers for the rest of the minutes.
This watch has the beautiful Frederique Constant FC-702 in-house movement. It can be admired through the display caseback and has heat-blued screws, perlage, Côtes de Genève, and very nice gold-plated rotor. This is one of the best value for money in-house movements and boasts some decent decoration without a high price tag.
Most of the wear on this watch is on the polished bezel of the watch from about the 2 o'clock position to the 5 o'clock position. These scratches are mostly noticeable when a bright light hits the watch but isn't too much of a bother during normal wear. This watch is fully polished all over the case so the reflective surfaces will easily show scratches, but it's the nature of the type of finish. I tried to highlight the scratches to make them as visible as possible for full disclosure.
The watch will come with the original outer and inner box, warranty card (expired), manual, papers, etc. The watch will come on the original alligator watch strap with the FC deployant clasp. I flipped the strap around because it felt more comfortable with the deployant clasp, but you can easily swap it around again if you prefer that. The in-house movement is running at about -4 seconds per day. Please PM me with any questions you might have. Thanks!
