I am happy to talk on the phone or do a FaceTime or other video call. No trades please. Up for sale today is a beautiful Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Perpetual Calendar. The reference number is 140.8.80.S. This is the 37mm version which is better-proportioned than the more recent 39mm version in my opinion. The dial is a beautiful inky black that has to be seen in person to be appreciated. It has a sunburst effect as well. The tritium lume plots, the Dauphine hands, and the layout of the complications make for a unique and gorgeous look. The watch is incredibly thin at just 9.3mm. It actually wears even thinner than that. It is an ideal and timeless overall size in my opinion. It has 50 meters of water resistance which is a nice bonus for a dressier watch like this. An amazing thing about this perpetual calendar is that it is extremely simple to set. There is one pusher on the case that is used for everything. The day of the month, day of the week, and moon phase are all preset and advance automatically as you push the pusher. The movement is JLC’s automatic Calibre 889/440/2. It is beautifully finished as seen through the exhibit case back. It has 50 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours. It is extremely thin at 4.5mm. The watch is in excellent condition. I do not see any imperfections outside of some minor hairline scratches on the case. It is very clean. Is is running strong and accurate as evidenced by the timegrapher results. Please see the photos. The service history is not documented, although I was told that it received a full service a few years ago. The sale comes with the inner and outer boxes, open papers, manual and original alligator strap (at least I think it is. It is branded Camille Fournet), buckle and pusher tool.
