Up for sale is a very hard to find 1970 Tudor Prince Oysterdate “Jumbo” 38mm - reference 7025/3. I looked for this watch for 2 years - specifically a two tone, blue dial, date only, 38mm. This is really the perfect size DateJust style watch. Case: 38mm, 47.5mm lug to lug, 20mm lug spacing - stainless with a beautiful 18k yellow gold fluted bezel. Minor wear marks, no major dings or scratches, but wear you might expect for a cared for watch of 53 years. Signed Rolex gold Crown. Rolex signed caseback. The crystal was replaced during service. All case gaskets and seals are new (caseback, crown, tube). Dial and hands: original BLUE dial in good shape. It’s a striking blue that is very reactive to light. It will shift from very dark blue to light blue depending on the light conditions. There is one scratch of note that sits to the right of the 12 marker. The dial is original, rare, and in far better shape than other blue dials of the era. The hands are clean with intact lume. Please see pics for details. Movement: Tudor (eta) caliber 2572 automatic with hacking. It was just meticulously serviced and regulated. Running strong and keeping excellent time with little variation across multiple positions and a strong power reserve. The watch will come on the pictured tan leather strap from Tuns.
