Up for sale is a 1966 Omega Seamaster reference 166.010. This is an excellent example of a highly sought-after watch. Designed by a young Gerald Genta, the watch pairs a smart, slim case and dial with muscular, sporty lugs resulting in an iconic and extremely attractive presentation. Internally, the watch is driven by a caliber 565 movement, which is widely regarded as a high-water mark of Omega's horology during the golden age of Swiss watchmaking. This variant includes applied onyx hour markers, quickset date, an attractive and well-preserved dial, and factory correct Omega crown and bracelet. The case appears to be in excellent unpolished condition, as the evidenced by the preserved original vertical brushing on the sides of the lugs. Dial is clean with a gentle golden patina and some aging visible only under magnificiation. Service history is unknown but pictured timegrapher reading shows highly accurate timekeeping. Movement photo was provided by the previous owner as I do not have the skills or tools to open the watch myself. The bracelet is currently sized for my 6.75" wrist and includes two extra links.
