[WTS] Downsizing: CW, Monta, Oris, and Mido
[WTS] Downsizing: CW, Monta, Oris, and Mido
Making difficult decisions is a part of being an adult. Sometimes those hard decisions are quagmires and quandaries whereby the concept of “the greatest good” is the only bearing informing the wise way forward, and sometimes even that North Star is obscured. I find myself at one such juncture, choosing between my two great loves: watches and reckless spending not otherwise specified. Today, it seems that the North Star is guiding us toward your own watch box, dear reader. As such, it is my privilege to introduce you to four fantastic pieces of horological genius, each seeking a new home. 1. The Christopher Ward C1 Grand Malvern Jumping Hour—a rare find and a unique addition to any collection. It runs beautifully and is in fantastic condition. Full set as well. Asking a negotiable $1400. 2. SOLD The custom Monta OceanKing v3 “Cookie Monster” sporting a (one of two) blue aluminum bezel over a black dial. Less than a year old and an absolute dime. A Rolex at one tenth the cost. Asking a negotiable SOLD 3. The Oris Diver 65 12H Calibre 400–Returned from Oris with a BRAND NEW movement earlier this year and is in excellent condition. 120 hours of power reserve and maybe the most comfortable watch I own. Asking a negotiable $1800. 4. SOLD The Mido Belluna GMT—an absolute steal. Swiss made, Swatch Group, excellent condition, and only SOLD I have a whole bunch of successful transactions under my belt, and I am happy to FaceTime if you’d like. No trades…unless you have a 16610 you’re trying to get rid of…
