I bought this watch from Reddit, and although it was in great condition, I took it to the Boston Cartier boutique for a complete service because I wanted to make sure that the watch is real and because the previous owner stated that they never did a battery replacement. The Boston Cartier people looked up the serial number of the watch and found that this watch was actually a gift from Cartier to one of their employees, and the "RR" engraving on the watch is the Cartier employee's initials. They also went through with the overhaul, so that answered my question about the authenticity of the watch. The original owner sold the Basculante to the Redditor I bought it from, so that makes me the third owner. As you can see from the photos I took, the watch is absolutely beautiful and has insane details. The previous seller included the original Cartier leather strap along with a newer third-party leather strap they purchased, but I am more of a fan of milanese straps, so I purchased one from WatchGecko. The watch + milanese strap combo is beautiful in my eyes, so that is how I wore it, albeit rarely because I do not like wearing watches during the summer. Unfortunately, my car engine is having problems, so I am letting go of this delightful collector's item. I am always willing to show the watch live on video over Facetime or Zoom. Price: $4,500.
