For your consideration is a modified Seiko 6309-7049. Unfortunately on-line production date calculators are not overly accurate but as best as I can tell is that the watch itself was produced in October 1977. Now I already own several 6309's and 6306's in my collection, so this old mod is surplus to my needs. The modifications include Type 1 hands, an aftermarket planet ocean type bezel insert and a "Bubble Boy" crystal. Fyi, this crystal was developed by the late Jonathon Koch and while it is not sapphire, it has been remarkably resilient and remains scratch free. Now as we can all appreciate, modifications are not to everyone's tastes and this particular mod could be easily restored to a more authentic vintage.

The dial is in great shape with no stains and the lume has naturally aged. Also provided are the original 6309 hands. Insofar as the case is concerned, there remains at least 3 and a half full turns of the crown to the lock position. While the service history remains unknown, I can attest that the watch keeps pretty good time. I am asking $350 including shipping and will accept PayPal or electronic wire transfer.
