Hi all, up for sale is a very cool Universal Geneve Polerouter Sub (MK2 version) from around 1969. I acquired it a few weeks ago, and while awaiting delivery, a second example with a blue bezel popped up that I couldn’t resist grabbing. Can’t keep both, so this one with a black bezel needs to find a new home. No reason for selling it other than that.

I am aware that this isn’t a “pristine” example but I think it presents very nicely, and looks meaningfully better to my eyes than a few that have popped up for sale recently (with darkened lume, cracked handsets, mismatched bezels, missing reference/serial numbers, etc.) This one has bright/fresh NOS hour and minute hands, and a warm patina to the original lume on the dial. There’s a small crack in the bezel between 8/9 (fairly common on these, unfortunately…I’ve attached a close up photo, but in normal wear it’s far less noticeable), and the second hand is likely a later replacement, but matches nicely. The watch looks super cool and honest, and wears great on the wrist. It has its original correct crown, an original UG signed crystal (note some crazing) and clearly visible reference and serial numbers on the case back, which always is a big plus on these, particularly when the case shows some signs of normal wear and enjoyment over the past 55 years or so. Happy to see they haven’t been polished off. And at 38mm+, it’s a great size for any vintage UG.

Asking US$7,250 for it net to me, via wire or PayPal (friends and family, so no fees to me) or Venmo. I’ll cover the cost of domestic insured shipping. International logistics and costs to be discussed with potential buyers.
