Seiko debuted the Kinetic Auto Relay in 2000 after the successful development of its earlier AGS Automatic Generating System series. Featuring the high end 13 jewel 5J22 movement developed for this model it runs 15 seconds +/- monthly. The watch is in very good condition. The crystal shows no marks. The dial is a deep black with luminous diver indices and hands with lollypop seconds hand. It has a simple date window at four and minutes divided chapter ring on the outside edge. A true diver, it features a screw down crown, unidirectional diver’s bezel, and 200m water resistance. The polished bezel shows light lines here and there as does the stainless integrated bracelet. The screw back features the limited edition signature and dual engraved waves. The case is a beautiful collection of waves and angles in brushed and matte surfaces and shows no major marks. An absolute treasure, the Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay Partner 2000 Diver will stand out in your collection. The Auto Relay runs automatically or manually to shut down the watch when not in use but runs accurately until it’s picked up and readjusts the hands. I installed a new capacitor (battery) in January 2025 good for at least 4 years. Featured in Seiko 140 celebration of Seiko’s notable designs, the watch was considered uniquely designed for both its function and original style.
