Hello! Tonight I have for sale an Omega Seamaster 300 with an automatic movement for sale. This is a great example of what a “tool-watch” that crosses a luxury brand like Omega represents. To get straight to the point, service history is unknown, watch keeps time +/- etc. The case and outside bracelet appear to be polished into a mirror like finish. I’m sure a professional watchmaker or artist could restore the original vertical brushed finish 🤷🏻‍♀️. There are scratches, some dings, etc on the case and bracelet relevant to its history or story if one wishes. Please use the photos as an extended reference of condition. The watch will fit a 7.25” wrist, and includes 2 additional links to be around 7.75” or 8” approximately. There are no original documents, or cards included - but the box is! I’m asking a steady $1700 shipped for this piece in its as-is condition. Please let me know if you have any questions or inquiries. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
