Hello r/watchexchange! Got an exceedingly rare peach for you today. When you think "space watch," the Speedy likely comes to mind. But quietly, Fortis has carved out a deep history making watches designed for space. The Official Cosmonauts Chronograph, released in 1994, was the first watch to be officially sanctioned for use by the Russian Space Agency (ROSKOSMOS) and flew on the MIR and ISS missions from 1994 until 2003. This is the later version of that very watch, with the tried-and-true Valjoux 7750 movement in place of the Lemania 5100. The watch received a full service at RGM in July 2023 to the tune of $700. I'm only selling as I am continuing to reduce the size of my collection to add fuel to a burning project car fire (don't buy old BMW M cars lol).
