# IWC 18k Cal. 88 Video: [https://imgur.com/a/CBp9GU1](https://imgur.com/a/CBp9GU1) Up for sale is a vintage IWC solid 18k gold cal. 88 piece dating to approximately 1948. This is in extremely good condition for its age, both cosmetically and mechanically. The dial shows almost no patina and is in excellent condition, and the case is sharp with thick lugs. The movement winds, sets, and runs smoothly. The Cal. 88 was the sub seconds sister movement to the Cal. 89, and was introduced the same year (1946) and run until the 1960s. However, production was much much lower in volume than the cal. 89 at an estimated 37,000 movements across those two decades across all case/dial variants.
