Hiya r/watchexchange, happy days! Up for sale is a Rolex Milgauss with a black dial and green crystal ref 116400GV. As the name suggested, the Milgauss is designed to withstand up to 1000 gauss of magnetic forces. A strong magnetic field can affect the movement of an automatic watch, causing it to run inaccurately. Understandably, the Milgauss’ intended wearers are scientists and engineers who work in or near a strong magnetic field i.e. Charles Xavier when working with Magneto. Personally, I think this is the best rendering of the Milgauss. The orange accents and the lightning bolt really play well against the matte black dial. The green crystal is almost luminescent at the edge, surrounding the dial with a bright green ring. Another little factoid, the green crystal exclusive to the Milgauss line does NOT have the Laser Etched Coronet or LEC, making the already unique model even more so. The watch comes as pictured, with the warranty card dated 02/11. There are 10 full links on the bracelet, allowing fitment for up to a 7” wrist.
