Up for sale is my Citizen “The Citizen” limited edition (1 of 250) high-accuracy quartz, model # AQ1054-59L. This thing runs like a dream, +/- 5 seconds a year and it’s been running true to form while I’ve owned it. The entirety of the watch is coated with diamond-like carbon (DLC) with Citizen’s duratect coating on top, so unlike PVD coatings on most black watches this thing is extremely scratch resistant. In fact, the only places where the coating has started to fade is on the bracelet where the watch rubs against a desk every day (I tried to capture this in the photos of the bracelet). The watch features Citizen’s perpetual calendar which always changes date exactly at midnight and will never need to be set again until the year 2100. It also has a jumping hour hand so you can transition between daylight savings and different time zones without stopping the seconds hand, preserving the watch’s accuracy. Like all of Citizen’s Eco-Drive movements, this watch is solar powered and also features the power gauge by the 9 and 10 o’clock markers. In terms of imperfections to note, there is a scuff along the outer edge of the bezel around the 8 o’clock marker, definitely visible in direct light but I’ve found most of the time it’s not noticeable under normal viewing angles. There is also the above-mentioned fading of the DLC coating on the bracelet, however the watch does come with 3 replacement lugs for the bracelet which have no wear on them. Otherwise the domed crystal is spotless, and the remainder of the watch case and bracelet are in practically perfect condition. Asking for $2000 shipped to CONUS.
