Despite complications for the day, date, month, and phase of the moon, it’s a remarkable uncomplicated dial. The moonphase is subdial at the 6:00 position, with a cleverly overlaid small seconds that masks the that the third “main hand” is actually the date indicator, with a 1 – 31 chapter ring arrayed around the dial perimeter and a red lunette end to indicate the date (there is some degradation of the #23, otherwise this timepiece is mint!). Day and month are displayed in two discrete windows above the central seconds axis, beneath the logo, allowing for the dial to maintain exceptional balance. Red highlighting of the ‘31’, lumed dauphine hands and a silver sunburst dial give it great visual appeal as well! All of this is housed in a svelte 39mm mirror-polished case that is only 10.6mm thick. Visible through he open-worked caseback is the calibre 866 movement, with 32 jewels, 305 components and 43 hour power reserve. The push-button correctors on the case side make for easy adjustment of the complications.
