FS: Doxa Clive Cussler Sub 300T *WITH BRACELET and RUBBER STRAP INCLUDED*

This Clive Cussler special release is uniquely made with an "aged steel" case and matching beads-of-rice bracelet. The aged steel case is designed to look like the watch is a long-lost treasure found.

Also unique to this release is the handmade dial designed to look like a vintage compass. Each watch is numbered to indicate it's authenticity. The date wheel also has the dates 7, 15, 31 displayed in red to commemorate Clive Cussler's date of birth. On the back is a list of all the lost ship wrecks Clive Cussler found during his life.

- 42.5mm
- 300m water resistance
- includes Nato strap with matching aged steel hardware
- beads-of-rice bracelet has never been worn
- I am including the Doxa rubber strap with aged steal hardware (this was an additional cost of $490 when I purchased the watch).

This Doxa was only worn a few times. It's in perfect condition. Includes full kit, along with additional Doxa rubber strap. Watch was purchased by me from Doxa directly. Majority of warranty time left.

Price is $2300 shipped CONUS. Payment via bank wire. No trades.

Doxa, founded in 1889 by Georges Ducommun, began as a maker of dress watches and other timepieces. Over the years, Doxa gained in size and branched out into other timekeeping markets. (Wristwatches, Armbanduhren, Montres-bracelets; Brunner, Gisbert L; Pfeiffer-Belli, Christian; Koneman, 2006)

In the late 1960s Doxa decided to devote resources to create a watch to be used for diving. Tests indicated that an orange face was more visible in murky water. Doxa also consulted with divers, including Jacques Cousteau, then chairman of "U.S. Divers," and Claude Wesly (a Cousteau companion and the first man to spend seven days thirty-three feet underwater). A staff of engineers and professional divers was assembled to create a watch with the required features. The Sub300t was purchased in quantity by U.S. Divers, who resold the watch in the United States.

The Jenny family of Switzerland now owns the brand. Since August 2002, Doxa has introduced re-editions of its watches and timepieces in limited quantities. Many are reproductions of the original models in design and construction, and all use Swiss movements.
