If you want a conversation piece, this watch is it. The Omega Marine Chronometer is the (EDIT: one of the) only watches to be certified with this designation (although there are more accurate modern, thermocompensated quartz watches out there). These are rare watches and even more rare in working condition with only around 7,000 ever produced. If you look up pictures of Jacques Cousteau, you will see him sporting one of these beauties on his wrist. When these were made, they were accurate within seconds a year, however, after nearly 50 years of age, you shouldn't expect such precision. The one for sale is in excellent working condition. It keeps great time within a few seconds a month. I had it serviced last year by John at Budget Accutron, one of the only experts who can work on quartz and electronic watches of this era. The case is clean and brushing and polishing are intact. It has definitely been refinished, but the work is good. This is the later version 1516 measuring 12.4 x 32.7 x 44mm. It is currently sized to my 6.5 inch wrist, but I have two extra links which would allow for up to 7.5 inch wrist. I unfortunately don't have the paperwork for this watch.
