Up for sale is a spectacular Seiko Seikomatic 6218-8971. The 62 Seikomatic lineup is very closely related to the first automatic GS, the 62 GS, and shares the same family of movement. The early Seikomatics had a tucked away hidden crown to emphasize the fact that these didn't require hand winding. It's a lovely design touch, but quite finicky to use! The watch features the lovely Seiko 6218 automatic movement, heavily endowed with jewels (35) and with a lovely full calendar readout. The watch features a bidirectional quickset date, has unknown service history but runs within +30spd with a healthy 30+ hours of power reserve. Unfortunately, the movement has lost the ability to hack. The case is in beautiful condition with crisp geometry, kindly view the photos for a better description of condition. The crystal unfortunately has a slight nick around the 37 minute mark(view attached photographs) but the integrity of the crystal is not compromised.
