This is a fantastic example of a legendary watch. The first automatic chronograph, the first vertical chronograph clutch, and the first automatic chronograph in space, the Seiko Pogue has a rich history. This blue dial ‘Resist’ variant was manufactured in November 1969, and is entirely original. Just back from service, the watch is keeping excellent time and will continue to for many years to come. The chronograph works perfectly, and the day wheel includes both English and French for you to chose from. The inner bezel spins freely as intended, and has faded to become a ghost bezel that looks even better in person than pictures show. All gaskets have been replaced and a fresh crystal fitted (original will be included). The original seiko bracelet has been lightly refinished to bring back the grain, but still shows some wear appropriate for the watch’s age. While I would never recommend mixing vintage watches and water, the watch did pass a pressure test at 3 bar, so you can certainly wash your hands without worry.
