Produced in the 1990s, this Big Crown model blends classic aviation-inspired design with a playful twist: a reverse pointer date complication that sets it apart from nearly everything else in the vintage market. At the heart of the watch is Oris’ signature complication—a central hand that tracks the date along the outer chapter ring—but here, it runs in reverse order, giving the dial a quirky, unconventional character while remaining highly legible. The dial itself features a beautifully executed two-layer guilloché design, paired with a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, adding depth and vintage charm. The 36mm stainless steel case strikes a perfect balance between classic proportions and modern wearability. Topped with Oris’ signature oversized crown, the watch stays true to its pilot-watch roots while maintaining a refined, elegant profile. Inside beats a reliable ETA-based automatic movement, known for its durability, accuracy, and ease of long-term servicing. This example remains in great original condition. The dial is original and well preserved, the crystal clear, and the case retains its sharp lines. The caseback screws down securely, and the original signed crown is present.
