Up for sale is this stunning Universal Genève Compax ref. 22522, one of the most elegant and well-proportioned chronographs of its time. The 22522 case reference is the very same used on the ultra-rare “Film Compax” models, making this piece not only historically relevant but also highly collectible.

Details:

1) Dial and hands
Original dial in beautiful condition with crisp printing, very appealing light creamy patina and yellow gold indexes. The yellow gold leaf hands are original, matching perfectly the blued (and original as well) sweep second and sub-counters hands.

2) Case
Stainless steel case, in crazy nice condition, reference 22522. The case measures approximately 37,5 mm excluding the crown, with 19mm lug width. Lugs remain sharp and full, with original geometry and chamfers intact. A rare find in this condition.

3) Movement
Manual-wind chronograph 287 movement running strong. The chronograph starts, stops, and resets precisely. Date of last service is unknown, but functionality is excellent and reliable.

4) Pushers and crown
Both pushers and crown are original to the watch, correct for this reference and period. Nothing replaced, all authentic components.
