Vintage Omega "Lobster" Speedsonic F300hz Chronometer Tuning Fork Chronograph
Hey Guys,
from my parts box I am selling this Omega Speedsonic Project. Its one of the rare Chronometer Chronographs, powered by a tuning fork movement (invented by Bulova). It's told that around 10.000 movements of these were build and just a part of them went to Omega. Beeing a Chronometer chronograph, this is something special even for Omega and was top of the line back then.
Unfortunately the movement isnt running. I put a battery in and its humming, but not running. Not sure if its just a service or if there is something bigger broken.
On the plus side is the stunning mirror dial, thats supports the tech-loving look. The Chrono hands reset to zero.
The watch comes with a 1162 bracelet, instead of a lobster one. It looks like the 1162 was a option back then, the modifications look factory made. IMO it wears better and more solid.
Since its a non runner but still a rare and interesting (parts-) watch, I'd like to have 800€. Watch is located in Germany, worldwide shipping is no problem.
