One of the most recognized and sought after mk40 Speedmaster, this 3520.53 has been called “Schumacher’s Choice” and the “Ben Clymer.” Hodinkee modeled their 10 year anniversary Speedmaster collaboration on this reference, and this remains one of the most fun references in Omega’s back catalogue. Its 38mm case means it’s incredibly wearable, and very comfortable. This chronograph has 8 (eight!) hands and day and month windows. The yellow “airplane” shaped hand is a pointer date, the left register has running seconds and 24hr time, while the top and bottom registers show running minutes and hours, respectively. This watch is in excellent condition, especially considering its age! This watch has a 56 serial number, which puts production at 1998. There is some clouding in the AR coating, but no scratches in the sapphire. The case shows minor scratching consistent with a watch that’s 26 years old, but there are no deep marks, and the watch presents exceptionally well. The lume is still bright, and the full-length bracelet (currently sized to a 6.5” wrist) is also in great shape. This watch is “naked” without original box or papers, but will come with an eBay box and authenticity card.
