Up for grabs is a vintage Movado Trans-Atlantic Sub-Sea 50, or commonly known as Sub Sea, circa late 60s to early 70s.

36mm all steel case is unpolished and has the normal wears and scratches consistent with age. Caseback is in excellent condition and is screwed down while most of these came with a snapped back so that's a definitely a bonus for some. Watch has 18mm lugs and original signed crown.

Original crystal has some light surfaced scratches and a couple of small chips by the edge notably at the 20 minutes and 30 minutes marks. Since the crystal is original to the watch, the scratches and chips did not bother me but it's up to the buyer whether a replacement is needed.

The dial is silver and vertically brushed. There are some patina toward the lower half of the dial which can be seen depending on the angle and lighting. The date at 3 is not quickset but instantly flips at 12:01. All hands are original and in excellent condition.

Caliber 298 is manual wound, beats at 18,000 bph and is very clean; service history is unknown.
