ATTENTION: BE AWARE AND PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WATCH WITH THE ORIGINAL EDITION OF THIS WATCH WHICH HAD THE SMURF - FLAT BLUE COLOR DIAL. THIS DIAL WAS EXTREMELY UNPOPULAR AND CANNOT BE COMPARED TO THE NEWER IRIDESCENT STARBURST DIAL IN OUR WATCH WHICH WAS REINTRODUCED TO MATCH THE VERY VERY POPULAR ORIGINAL BLUE SUBMARINER DIALS OF EARLIER NON CERAMIC SUBMARINER MODELS 16618 AND 16613.
THE BLUE SMURF DIAL WAS A DISASTER AND VERY UNDESIRABLE AND THIS IS WHY YOU MAY SEE THE 18KT SUBMARINER FOR MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLAR LESS, BASICALLY BECAUSE THE COLOR IS DEAD LOOKING AND QUITE UGLY.
ROLEX 18kt YELLOW GOLD MODEL 116618, WITH THE EXTREMELY RARE IRIDESCENT STARBURST BLUE DIAL. THIS IS THE 40 MM NEWER VERSION OF THIS SUBMARINER WITH THE CERAMIC BEZEL. IT SHOWS LITTLE TO NO SIGNS OF WEAR AND IS IN SUCH LIKE NEW CONDITION IT STILL HAS THE FULLY INTACT CASE BACK STICKER ON IT WITH THE GREEN STRIPE.

THIS IS A RARE FIND, A LIKE NEW 18kt. YELLOW GOLD SUBMARINER MODEL 116618 WITH THE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER AQUA BLUE IRIDESCENT STARBURST METALLIC LOOKING DIAL. IT HAS THE LEGENDARY CALIBER 3135 MOVEMENT. CASE SIZE IS 40MM.
THIS IS A FULL COMPLETE SET WATCH, AND COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY, INNER AND OUTER BOX, BOOKLETS AND STRING TAG.
