Hey all! Here is for sale a nice Sinn 144 Automatic Chronograph 41mm from mid 1980s. Watch is in good condition, for sale is the watch only. Case is made of stainless steel and measures 41mm, 14.2mm thick and 20mm lug width. Case is in good condition for a tool wacth, it has sharp edges, has some signs of wear, but no major dings or scratches. Caseback has Swiss Made, Waterproof, Antimagnetic, Incabloc, Stainless Steel inscriptions as well as Sinn logo. Crown is screw down, it has Sinn logo, pushers work perfect, and these pushers with no protection indicate that this one is an early example, newer models have protection on pushers. Crystal is sapphire and has no blemishes. Dial is the best thing right here and due to the dial this watch is considered a rare one. Dial has long S in Sinn logo and long A in Automatic written in italic, this is an early iteration of 144 from 1974 to mid 1980s, newer versions have square Automatic font. Second reason why it’s rare is the bezel which is “1 km 1000” with long distance between markers, while majority of other 144s have Pulse or Tachy bezels. This dial has tritium lume which is not indicated at 6 subdial, while newer versions have T Swiss Made T at the bottom. Lume has a nice cream patina, all the lume on hourmarkers matches the lume on handset, please check lumeshot in Imgur gallery. Orange hands indicate chrono functions. Day date window is at 3 o’clock. Movement is decent and robust Valjoux 7750, it is clean and at the moment of sale keeps time –3 sec/day, please check timegrapher pic in Imgur gallery. Strap is 18mm vintage Tropic made of black rubber with its authentic buckle, strap is in great condition. This is an OG for all the 144s right there and this watch looks brilliant due to its condition, unusual case shape and of course contrast black matte dial with white/yellow/orange accents.
