Up for sale is a very sharp Tissot PRS 516 in very good condition. Underneath the tonneau case beats a very reliable Tissot 872 movement, aka the Lemania 872. According to my research, this movement (and other Lemania movements from around this time) had been produced with Omega under a joint trade agreement, which may explain Omega’s prevalent use of Lemania-based movements as well. The overall design is reminiscent of many racing-inspired watches from the ‘70s. The watch retains its original crisp brushing, tritium lume, and largely unblemished tachymeter bakelite bezel (most examples show much wear). Scratches on the acrylic crystal can be buffed out. On the casebook is a stylized engraving of what I presume to be a previous owner's initials. Recently re-released by Tissot for more than asking, and here you get the original!
