The most perfect Grand Seiko dial?! When it comes to refined elegance, incredible attention to detail, and some of the finest finishing and polishing in the world, you’d be hard pressed to find a brand that does it better than Grand Seiko! This piece is from their ‘Elegance’ collection and you can see why… It just screams elegance, class, but with the kind if subtle nuances that draw you into the dial. This Spring-Drive driven masterpiece is in immaculate condition and has only been worn a handful of times.The gorgeous, dark blue crocodile leather strap and GS deployant buckle are the perfect compliment to this piece. The unique Spring-Drive movement means you’re getting accuracy of ±15 seconds per month (±1 second per day), with a beautiful ‘perfect sweep’ of that second hand that gently floats over the blue, ice-like, subtly textured dial… And that dial… does anyone do it better than GS? This is nicknamed the ‘Omiwatari’. Here’s why: "Most winters, the water of Lake Suwa freezes over and, most years, a long ridge appears in the ice from one side of the lake to the other. Tradition has it that this is the ‘Omiwatari’ or where the Gods walk out over the ice. True or not, the legend has inspired the craftsmen and women at the nearby Shinshu Watch Studio to create a dial of exquisite subtlety for this hand-winding Spring Drive timepiece. It has the color, feel and texture of the snow-covered ice on Lake Suwa." It’s a dial that really has to be seen to truly be appreciated. It’s amazing! The piece is in near-mint condition, with no visible scratches, dings, or dents that I can see. Again, it’s only been worn a handful of times.I love the piece, but I’m working on thinning out my collection and this piece doesn’t get the wrist time it deserves.
