EDIT: Reserved / On Hold for u/Dangerous-Noise-4692 ​ Hi folks! Bumping with a price drop! For sale is an absolutely beautiful vintage Citizen Parawater ChronoMaster Date ref. HOD52901-Y from the 1960s-1970s. These early examples were built extremely well and apparently to chronometer standards – early models like this were not stamped “chronometer” on the dial because Japan did not have an official chronometer institution at that time. The case wears absolutely perfectly like a modern watch case at 38mm (with crown) x 43mm lug to lug x 11.5mm thick. This example is in amazing condition for its age, still maintaining what look to be very crisp, unpolished case edges and only very light marks in its polished surfaces. The gold medallion on the back is still intact. The case has only very minor noticeable dings, one in the bezel at 7:30 and one on the side of the lug at 4:30. The crystal is free from major dings or nicks and only has one or two very slight hairlines and a microscopic rash at the faceted edge that I needed a loupe to pick up. Overall, the watch presents beautifully. What is wild is that with a few hand winds I clocked the movement at 0.0sec/day with 1.4ms beat error! The service history is unknown and please understand that your mileage may vary / I can’t guarantee that accuracy, but it seems to be a strong runner. \*\*Note for vintage watches: I do my best to describe any watch I sell to the best of my ability, but old watches are like old cars – they can be temperamental, need service at any time, and are generally not as reliable or as precise as a modern watch. It should be assumed that unless I know the service history the watch will likely need a service if you plan to wear it frequently. Even post-service (depending on the watchmaker), vintage watches can still be less reliable than modern watches.
