TLDR; I’ve got big wrists and the watch is still too thick for daily wear. I’ve decided to lead with a picture of the watch on wrist, my wrist to be specific. I have a pretty meaty 7.25” wrist and can wear most watches all the way up to 44mm comfortably. That being said, when I finally had the chance to scoop #690/1968 of this ‘68 Intramatic for a reasonable price I was over the moon. I literally just bought this thing and wore it yesterday and today for a full work day. Case diameter and lug to lug are absolutely perfect, and it looks so damn good on the wrist. What I could not get over, was the massive thickness (14.7mm) and the Valjoux (Hamilton modified it to be their H-31 Movement) wobble while typing away at my keyboard. If you’re familiar with the Valjoux wobble, and a little thickness doesn’t scare you, this is an unbelievable value with a 60 hour power reserve, 1 second per day accuracy, and limited availability. I’m looking for $1200 shipped and insured in the continental US, and I just paid $1280 for it a last week. The watch is in fantastic shape, with the crystal free of any blemishes and a case that can be easily polished to factory sheen if desired. Feel free to ask any additional questions.
