Seiko 7a38-7070 - $400 The 7a38-7070 is a beautiful piece from July 1983 but with an integrated bracelet. This is the sibling to the 7a28-7079 “Gray Ghost”. It features day, date, and chrono complications. Watch is working perfectly and has a matte black dial with sunburst charcoal sub dials. The crystal has some faint scratches but isn’t noticeable in most lighting conditions. The case and bezel have signs of wear as does the bracelet. Comes on this beautiful epsom leather strap that I modified to fit the case. It has a similar movement to the previous watch but without the day and date complications. Watch has normal wear and scratches due to its age. I put a sapphire crystal on it. Great looking watch that comes with the original bracelet (there is a slight bend in the end link but it isn’t noticeable when wearing) and extra links. Everything on the watch is running correctly except for the red central chrono hand which jitters. This is a common issue with these watches and can be rectified with a service. Watch has normal wear and scratches due to its age. I put a sapphire crystal on it. Great looking watch that comes with the original bracelet in great shape and extra links. Everything on the watch is running correctly. The central chrono seconds hand works most of the time but every now and then stalls before running again. Rest of the chronograph hands work fine. The watch was made in August 1983. These are very hard to come by and I’ve had to do considerable work to get it to work perfectly. Movement had a series of issues that have been corrected including fixing the keyless works, day/date mechanisms, pcb, and chronograph. Some broken parts had to be replaced with the correct parts. The watch was also cleaned (pushers, case, caseback, and bracelet. The crystal seems to be in excellent condition. The case and bracelet have scratches which is to be expected for a watch of this age but overall it is in really good shape. The dial has some small imperfections at the 3 o’clock and 6 o’clock subdials and the caseback has some deep scratches.
