Greetings Watchexchange, Up for sale is a stunning 1964 Citizen "Jet" Auto Dater. The Citizen jets of the era got their name from the unusual 360 degree rotor which was one of the earliest automatic mechanisms employed by the brand. The rotor has a distinctive sound, which some claim sounds like a jet. A classic dress watch, measuring 38mm in diameter (quite large for the era), around 44mm lug to lug and 12.5mm thick with a 20mm lug width. The watch has a beautiful fluted bezel and top hat domed acrylic crystal which gives it a lovely visual presence. The watch has a fair amount of patina on the dial, in line with the age (most notably around the 7 o'clock marker) The watch has unknown service history, but performs well for a vintage piece keeping within a deviation of 30spd and a healthy power reserve of beyond 35 hours on a full wind.
