Hello, I'm not afraid to admit that I have watch OCD. I've returned/sold countless watches for things like bezel misalignment, a spec of dust under the glass, or a tiny scratch in a place that caught the light the wrong way. Back when these were still available on Amazon I bought and returned 2 because the dial misalignment was ridiculous. I went a couple years telling myself that if the Seiko QC was that bad, then I didn't want one anyway....but I did. And so I embarked on a quest to find a perfect one. Here is that journey. Step 1: Find an all original, Made in Japan model, with perfect alignment. I scoured Watchexchange until I found one. The alignment was perfect and there were no scratches on the case. The downsides: it did not come with an OEM bracelet and the bezel had a pretty sizable ding in it. Step 2: Take care of the Bezel. I purchased a brand new, OEM Seiko Bezel from Long Island Watch. Problem solved. Step 3: Find an OEM bracelet. Another simple solution. I bought an OEM jubilee bracelet. However, before I bought that I purchased an Uncle Seiko Z199 bracelet. I loved that so much that I haven't even opened the original bracelet. So, the result of my journey is a perfectly aligned, near mint, Made in Japan SKX on a Z199 bracelet. I have the original bezel and unopened OEM bracelet set aside for the future. Unfortunately, in addition to watch OCD I also suffer from new watch addiction. And with that, what I consider to be the best possible SKX that money can buy can be yours. If you have always wanted an SKX but didn't want to risk getting a dud, this one is for you.
