Not all quartz watches are created equal. Up for grabs is this standout 9F powered Grand Seiko SBGV221. I’m at least the 2nd owner and the person I purchased this from about a year ago kept great records and has solid provenance. Condition: Great condition, with wear from fairly infrequent use from rotation in my ~10 watch collection. Keeps excellent time, as GS High-Accuracy Quartz movements are known for. The bracelet is in very good condition, with some light scratches throughout. This is a full kit, double boxed, with all of the original papers and dealer cards for the GS9 Club and after sales service. The last owner bought it from a seller in Japan, and all the paperwork is in Japanese (although the manual is in English). Note the original owner name and address on the warranty doc gets cut out in Japan for privacy purposes, a common practice with resales on Japanese Domestic Market Grand Seikos. The battery was replaced in late 2021, so you’ll have ~2.5 years before even considering needing a replacement. Included is every bracelet link from the factory and ships sized to 7 inches. This watch is interesting due to its December 2016 manufacture date, and it being a Grand Seiko only logo watch. The Grand Seiko brand broke off from Seiko Time Corp in March 2017, and with that change, they stopped producing models that were "dual signed" with the Seiko logo on top, and Grand Seiko on the bottom of the dial. This piece was likely one of the very first GS only logo watches to be produced, and that is why it comes with the earlier "dual signed" Seiko Grand Seiko outer box and display box, which is becoming harder to find these days due to them being out of production and being a JDM only box set.
