Jumbo Seamasters from the 50ies are hard to find, especially in good condition. Here is one for you to consider. Wait, what Seamaster, there is nothing on the dial? Yes, the 2494 is a Jumbo Seamaster reference, but this example was produced before 1948, the year of the launch of the Seamaster line, hence a "Pre-Seamaster", which makes it more uncommon.



Condition
Dial: Excellent and clean two-tone dial. The configuration is quite peculiar with Arabic indices at all even numbers rather than the common 3-6-9-12, intercepted by diamond shaped indices. No lume on the dial is always a plus for me. The tension ring shows some signs of oxidation but it's hardly visible.
Hands: Second hand may be a replacement as it appears too long.
Case: Well preserved steel case without any major dings or scratches.
Movement: Caliber 351, a bumper movement. The serial number dates it to 1947, i.e. prior to the launch of the Seamaster line in 1948. The movement is clean and runs well.
Crown: Clover crown with flat feet Omega logo.
Crystal: Original signed crystal. Some minor scratches.
Dimensions: 36mm in diameter without the crown, 18mm lug width
Accessories: Comes with the pictured generic leather strap.
