Produced circa 1958, this model captures the essence of Omega’s golden age — combining impeccable chronometer precision with some of the most beautiful dial work ever produced by the brand. This particular example features the iconic “Pie-Pan” dial with large applied arrowhead hour markers, often referred to by collectors as “Arrowhead” indices. The dial has aged gracefully, developing a soft patina that enhances its vintage character. It bears the applied Omega logo at 12 o’clock, the Constellation star at 6 o’clock, and the “Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified” signature across the center. The silver-tone Dauphine hands complement the faceted indices perfectly, maintaining the strong geometric presence that defined Omega’s mid-century design language. The case measures 34.5mm in diameter (excluding crown), lug-to-lug distance is 43.5mm, thickness is 11mm and lug width is 18mm. The watch is with classic lyre lugs that remain well-preserved. The plexiglass crystal is clean and distortion-free, maintaining the warm vintage aesthetic. On the reverse, the caseback features the gold Observatory medallion, depicting the Geneva Observatory surrounded by eight stars which is a symbol of Omega’s dominance in chronometer competitions of the period. Powering the watch is the Omega Caliber 505, an automatic, chronometer-certified movement running smoothly and accurately. The Cal. 505, with 24 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve, represents one of Omega’s finest 1950s movements — robust, elegant, and built to exacting chronometer standards. This example remains in good original condition, showing light wear consistent with age with no dents. Case and caseback shows well-preserved shapes. The dial has developed patina on the surface but there’s no scratches or damages. Crystal is clean and in great shape. It comes fitted on OEM bracelet that fits up to 19cm (7.5 inches) wrist. The watch has been serviced and it currently keeps great time in chronometer certified range at +/-5s a day.
