The watch stands out with its whirlpool-textured dial — a rare design among Seiko models that gives the dial extra depth as it catches light from different angles. It features a day-date complication and belongs to the Seiko Superior line, marked by the engraved lion caseback — a symbol typically seen on Grand Seiko and early Seiko chronometer models, underscoring its premium status above the more common Seiko 5 range. Housed in a 36mm stainless steel case with 11mm thickness and 18mm lug width, the watch is powered by the 7S36 automatic movement with 23 jewels and a beat rate of 21,600 bph, offering a 41-hour power reserve. The movement does not feature hand-winding or hacking functions. This watch is in good condition for its age, showing minimal scratches with no dent. Dial is flawless, crystal is clean and original with Seiko 5 stamp in tact on the surface. It has been fully serviced, with the movement disassembled, gaskets cleaned and oiled up which is essential maintenance for a watch approaching 30 years and it’s currently running at +/-5s a day. The original bracelet fits up to 20cm (8 inches) wrists. The watch doesn’t come with original box though standard seiko box will be provided upon purchase.
